Pearl, Miss- Don’t be alarmed if you see workers in your neighborhood checking out streetlights.
The City is in the process of converting old technology to new energy efficient LED streetlights to save money and improve lighting.
You may see workers from Evari GIS Consulting, who are recording field data of every streetlight in the city, working Monday through Friday through the middle of November. They will be out between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Evari’s auditors will be wearing safety vests during field data collection and their vehicles will be clearly marked.
As with all utility workers in Pearl, drivers are advised to please maintain a safe distance from pedestrians and parked vehicles while driving.
