Pearl Municipal Broadcasting

Pearl Municipal Broadcasting produces and distributes educational, governmental, and local programming serving the City of Pearl and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to foster a sense of community in the City of Pearl and its neighboring communities through the use of our cable channel along with our low power FM radio station, WPBP 104.5 FM. PMBtv20 is carried locally on Comcast Cable channel 20 and on channel 99 on AT&T Uverse. The radio station, know as "The Pirate", is broadcast on channel 104.5 on the FM dial. We strive to provide positive entertainment programming, respond to community needs, address local government issues, and help bring education into the home.

PMBtv 20 is the original station in operation for Pearl Municipal Broadcasting.  Founded originally as the "Pearl Channel" in 1998, PMBtv started as an information only channel running multiple VCR's and PowerPoints listing current events inside the City of Pearl.  Since it's inception, PMBtv has evolved into a fully functioning television station broadcasting live events, Pearl High School sports, as well as professonally produced programs.  Scheduling has evolved to include some of TV's most loved broadcast from the early beginings of television to current offerings.  PMBtv20 is the only source for the Department of Defense Media Activity Pentagon Channel, for Military news from around the world as well as view original programs and special features.

Power 104.5 FM "The Pirate" is the latest edition to the PMB family.  It celebrated its first year in operaton in May of 2012.  Broadcasting high atop our tower located at Center City, the station broadcast a varity of music from yesterdays favorites to today's biggest hits. It is the home for all Pearl High School Athletic events to include football, baseball, basketball, and more.  Coming soon, it will showcase a new talk show in the afternoons, as well as a couple of music specialty shows hosted by past local DJ's from the area.  If you want to listen to the best radio in the Jackson area, then this is the one for you!
